The demand for electricians is expected to grow significantly in the coming years, due to a major increase in construction projects.

You can get ahead of the game and gain the skills that employers need with a T Level. T Levels combine classroom-based theory knowledge with practical hands-on experiences.

Developed in collaboration with employers, studying a T Level ensures that you have the skills that are actively being looked for in the world of work.

As well as gaining a general understanding of the world of Construction, you will also specialise in a range of Electrical topics based on your own personal goals and what excites you.

A dedicated work placement will be a vital part of your studies too, helping you develop your practices and figure out the area where you can become a talented, well-rounded individual.

T Levels are a great option for progression, as you could go onto an apprenticeship, paid employment or even University, but the possibilities are endless.

Course information

You will learn the enhanced skills that are needed to progress into the electrical field. Our Study Programme will equip you with the core units needed when entering employment.

Topics you will cover include:

  • Health and Safety
  • Building regulations and standards
  • Data management
  • The Electrical industry and its role in the economy
  • Sustainability and the environment
  • Business, commerce, and corporate social responsibility
  • Maintenance principles
  • Tools, equipment and materials

You will also get to specialise in a number of areas related to the Electrical work you do, which can include focusing on the engineering aspects of your trade or how to repair certain electrical items.

Throughout the course you will learn a wide variety of skills and techniques in our well-equipped workshops. And you will have the opportunity to take part in national skills competitions and work on community projects.
