Level 3 Award in Health and Social Care

Course overview

The aim of the Level 3 Award in Health and Social Care is to provide learners with an introduction to core subject areas when working in health and social care. By the end of the course, you will be prepared to enter Higher Education or pursue a Level 3 Certificate.

This course will also give foundational knowledge for those already working in the health and social care sector and assist with progression in the work place.

Course information

You will complete three mandatory modules. The topics for these modules are:

  • Equality, diversity and rights in health and social care
  • Human growth and development
  • Safeguarding in health and social care

These modules will broaden your knowledge of ethical dilemmas that may arise when balancing individual rights and duty of care, how rights are promoted in health and social care services, policies and procedures in relation to safeguarding, as well as social, emotional, cognitive and physical developments within each life stage.
