Engineering Hub

Our Engineering Hub at EKC Ashford College is part of our new Phase 2 Development.

This space will allow students to learn cutting edge skills in Manufacturing, Engineering and a wide range of areas in the industry.

The Engineering Hub can be found on the College’s ground floor.

What the Engineering Hub offers

Thanks to investment made over the past 12 months, and through the Government’s SDF (Strategic Development Fund), we have a wide range of machines and equipment including:

  • CNC (Computer numerical control) Machines
  • Kuka Robots
  • Turning centres
  • Ladle machines
  • CAD (Computer Aided Design) suite
  • Engineering Workshops
  • Staff with years of industry experience and expertise

Engineering, Manufacturing, Processing and Control T Level

Designed by industry leaders, the T Level combines hands-on learning, academic study and a 45-day work experience placement with a local employer.

Students will develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the sector, and be provided wuth the cutting-edge skills, knowledge and experiences they need to start their journey.

Our Engineering T Level takes place predominatly in the Engineering Hub, making the most of our new technology and facilities here at EKC Ashford College.

Students who successfully pass their  T Level have a range of progression opportunities available to them. These include, entering skilled employment, starting a higher-level apprenticeship, and going to university.
