You’ll develop a broad and practical skillset covering:




  • 3D Modelling and Sculpting – Create objects, props, characters and
    environments using industry software.

  • Animation Fundamentals – Gain an understanding of the basic principles of
    animation and bring your characters to life with simple motion, character
    turnarounds, posing and presentation.

  • Texturing and Digital Painting – Build materials, surface detail and
    stylised or realistic textures.

  • Concept Art and Visual Development – Research, design and illustrate ideas
    for worlds, characters and gameplay.

  • Character and Creature Design – Explore anatomy, silhouettes, iterations
    and personality through art.

  • Esports and Gameplay Production – Explore competitive gaming, streaming
    and gameplay-focused content creation. Learn how to capture gameplay footage,
    present matches, analyse player experiences and create media surrounding
    gaming culture and online communities.

  • Stop Motion and Experimental Animation – Experiment with stop motion
    techniques using practical models, figures and props. Learn how animation
    principles, lighting, camera positioning and editing can bring characters and
    scenes to life frame-by-frame.

  • Games Engine Basics – Import assets into a games engine to showcase your
    work.

  • Art Direction and Creative Workflow – Build moodboards, research packs and
    production documents that reflect professional practice.
