Course overview

Working in the Health and Social Care setting is very rewarding. The care sector is forever growing and in need of dedicated skilled professionals to help provide support.

Our industry-experienced staff will teach you all about human life span development, working in social care and explore current research in social care, anatomy and physiology in social care.

After learning about Health and Social Care you will be able to go into a work placement. There you will be providing support and services, either in a team or individually, to individuals who have physical, mental, or social needs.

After completing your course, you can progress onto university or a higher apprenticeship in nursing, midwifery, paramedics, counselling, or social work. Alternatively, you can begin your career in the sector.

Start your career in supporting people with the Level 3 Health and Social Care.

Course information

In the first year of the course, you will work towards the Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Social Care. Whilst you are learning the course you will be given opportunities to take part in work experience if you achieve this you can progress onto year two and work towards the Extended Diploma. There is a wide variety of optional units in the second year of the study programme.
