If you’re thinking about a future in the Computing or Digital industries, EKC Ashford College offers a Computing experience that goes beyond the classroom.
Our courses are shaped around projects, dynamic work placements, and industry partnerships that help you build the confidence and skills you need to take your next step.
Whether you’re 16–19 and exploring your post-school options, or an adult looking to retrain or upskill, you’ll be supported to develop the digital skills that employers are looking for.
Here’s what makes the Computing experience at EKC Ashford College truly unique:
Gain real workplace experience with our T Level
If you’re 16–18, our T Level in Digital Production, Design and Development gives you the chance to work directly in industry as part of your course.
Former learner, Georgie, is a great example. During her placement at The Beehive in Ashford, she managed the company’s social media and eBay accounts. This enabled her to gain first-hand experience of how digital tools support business operations.
She also took part in a summer placement with the University of Kent’s Health Department, where she explored data analytics and manipulation.
These experiences helped shape her future career, and she has since progressed onto a Degree Apprenticeship with Dunelm.
By choosing a T Level, you’ll build confidence in the workplace, develop professional skills, and discover which digital pathways suit you best.
Upskill with specialist adult courses
If you’re an adult aiming to advance your skills or progress into higher-level study, EKC Ashford College offers a range of Computing courses to suit your goals.
You can start with our Level 2 qualification to build essential digital skills in Cyber Security, then progress to Level 3 and Level 5 courses in Software and Web Application Development delivered in partnership with the Code Institute. These online, industry-focused courses can be completed around your existing commitments.
You’ll cover everything from digital fundamentals to full-stack web development, gaining a solid understanding of modern tools and technologies. Support from our expert tutors throughout means you’ll be ready to take on roles in web development, software, or wider digital careers, whether you’re just starting out or looking to build on your existing experience.
