In Art and Design, you have access to open art-studios, with views of the local area, and a specialist photography darkroom.

KFE4Skills is an exciting contest between East Kent Colleges Group, MidKent College and North Kent Colleges Group students and Apprentices.

Alexander and Miles, two of our Media students, created a promotional film for the Hop Exhibition at Brook Rural Museum.
The exhibition was supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and the two were invited to attend the official opening.

Level 3 Art and Design students, Liz and Jack, have brightened up Ashford International Railway Station with vibrant new art installations inspired by the ‘Garden of England’.

“I received a Distinction in my course and now I’m heading to the University of Leeds.
“I would like to get into freelance work in the future. On social media, I see a lot of independent journalism and I think that’s something I’d like to do.
“For my final project, I talked about film and the social and cultural impacts that film had. It made me realise that I enjoy research more than I thought I did.”
“The theme we had to work with for my final project was order and chaos. I used the idea of how music can make you feel to create my pieces.
“I love fashion as well as art, and I wanted to create something people could wear. I was supported fully to do this for the exhibition.
“It’s cool that our work is on display for the public and for others to appreciate our art, it makes you feel really proud. The fact people can also buy our work is great as it shows that they like the work we are producing!”
