Whether you’re passionate about technology, curious about coding or simply want a fresh start in a supportive and friendly environment, our Computing courses will set you up for a successful future.
We spoke to three students, Shasa, Ster and Ethan, about how they’ve found studying Computing, what they’ve loved, and what they hope to do next.
Shasa – T Level Digital Production, Design and Development
“I chose to study Computing because I regretted not taking it at A Level. Coming here gave me a fresh start.
“I’ve enjoyed how my Lecturers teach and how interactive everything is. I’ve also enjoyed being able to work closely with people in my class, take part in hackathons, and experience new things.
“I’ve learnt to work independently and have gained lots of new skills I didn’t expect to. Compared to my A Level experience, College has been much better.
“I’d recommend Computing to anyone, because there’s so much support for people who haven’t studied it before, but also independence for those who have and want to push themselves.
“In the future I hope to move on to a university degree in the same area.”
Ster – Level 2 Digital and IT Skills
“I chose to study Computing because it’s one of my passions, and the qualifications will really help with university, especially for something like Business and Information Technology.
“I’ve enjoyed finding out about new apps, websites and technology, especially AI. Learning more about these in-depth has been really interesting.
“I’ve definitely learnt skills in programmes that I didn’t expect to cover, like Excel, Teams and loads of useful online tools.
“College feels way more friendly than school. People are more mature, they know what they want to do, and it creates a really positive environment.
“Computing is very different to what I studied before. There are more projects and assignments, and I feel like I’m constantly developing new skills.
“After my course, I’d like to progress further and eventually get to university. College is really helping me work towards my future goals.”
Ethan – Level 2 Digital and IT Skills
“I want to be a CGI Designer, so it made sense to start off with an ICT qualification. Now I’ve passed, I can move into Games Design in the year ahead.
“I’m so much less anxious than when I first started College. I’ve made good friends, I see them every day, and I’m much more sociable now.
“My advice to new students is to allow yourself to be excited and don’t be scared to meet new people.”
