James Worley

James lives in New Romney with his wife and two teenage boys, having moved to the area over seven years ago to develop his business and his wife’s career.   

He has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, from hands-on installation and engineering work, to running a team of 18 services engineers for a global fire and security company.   

For a period of seven years, James also started up and ran his own limited company carrying out property redevelopments around Kent. 

He also works with Kent Police’s Volunteer Cadet programme and am a leader at the Folkestone cadet group. He also holds approval to drive Kent Police vehicles. 

The work he has done with young people in the Cadet programme inspired him to look at a new career in further education, where he would be able to share his skills, life experience and enthusiasm for the construction industry, with the next generation of workers.
