T Level Education and Early Years

A career in Early Years can open doors to many rewarding roles in the sector, including the opportunity to educate the next generation.

Our Early Years students gain many practical experiences and vital knowledge to prepare them for the future.

We caught up with two T Level students, Ruby and Emily, to hear about their journey and ambitions.

Get industry experience

You will benefit from structured work placements. Students must complete a minimum of 250 hours of industry placement for a Level 2 qualification. 

We have an Industry Liaison Officer that assists with placements. An assessor will perform observations throughout the course as part of the work placement.

Learn through practical training

You will develop your education and early years practical skills and knowledge with our wide range of tools and equipment. 

You will be trained in practical skills such as sterilisation, nappy changing, changing of foods, as well as health and safety around babies and children. You will have access to simulation baby dolls and will gain experience in using sensory toys and child-focused activities.

“I want to become a Primary School teacher, and doing placement as a Teaching Assistant has helped me understand how things work in a school environment.

“Whilst working with children and staff, I have learned how to utilise techniques in the classroom, and put the skills I’ve learned into practice.”
